Your exam and course scope

NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I: 85 questions, 110 minutes, scaled score with immediate pass/fail, built on NICET's published Level I task domains. Confirm current exam details and experience requirements on nicet.org.

Where this applies. This course prepares you for the national NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I exam, based on NFPA 72 (2022). NICET certification also requires documented work experience, and some states and local authorities have their own fire-alarm licensing rules or code editions, so check with your state fire marshal or local authority having jurisdiction.

This is knowledge practice for the written exam. It does not replace approved training, eligibility checks, or any skills evaluation your certifying body requires. NICET revises content outlines and code editions — verify the current FAS outline and referenced NFPA 72 edition on nicet.org before you test.
