Your exam and course scope

NICET ITWBS Level II: 168 questions, 185 minutes, open book, scaled 0–700 with 500 to pass, on the NFPA 25 2023 edition. Confirm current exam details and experience requirements on nicet.org.

Where this applies. This course prepares you for the national NICET ITWBS Level II exam (NFPA 25), which is the same everywhere. Some states require a specific NICET level for inspection work (Illinois requires Level III), so check what your state fire marshal or local authority requires.

This is knowledge practice for the written exam. It does not replace approved training, eligibility checks, or any skills evaluation your certifying body requires. NFPA 25 revises on a roughly three-year cycle and NICET updates its exams to match — verify the current edition and outline on nicet.org before you test.

What you get

8 teaching modules and 105 practice questions, with narrated lessons, cards, explained answers and review of missed material. Review tests are drawn from the bank you drill and scored against a labelled practice readiness bar — a study target, not the official passing score and not a conversion to it.

How the real exam is scored. NICET reports a scaled score with 500 as the passing standard on its 0–700 scale. This cannot be converted from our raw practice score.
